| Officials - Become
an official
What is the benefit of being an accredited
official?
Coaches and officials who are accredited through the National
Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) are recognised by
National and State Sporting Organisations and the Australian
Sports Commission (ASC). An increasing number of clubs and
organisations require officials to be NOAS accredited for
employment. As standards for safety and ethical behaviour
within officiating improve, it is even more important that
coaches and officials are trained and accredited.
Where do I go?
- Contact your state sporting organisation
and ask about them what opportunities are currently available
- Go to your local club or school and offer
your services
How do I become accredited?
If you want to become an accredited official you need to take
a National
Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) course.
These courses offer training for officials from beginner through
to advanced level. Contact your State Sporting Association
for the latest information on officiating courses and training
programs available through your sport.
