Youth - Active Australia Schools Network (AASN)
The AASN is a program of the Australian Sports
Commission, administered nationally by the Australian
Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER).
The AASN currently has over 300 member schools in South Australia
and 1000 nationally. In South Australia, the AASN is managed
by the Office for Recreation and Sport with support from the
Department of Education and Children’s Services (DECS)
and the Australian Sports Commission.
The AASN State Coordinator provides ongoing
support to member schools in their efforts to maximise opportunities
for students to be physically active and to promote the benefits
of physical activity in the wider school community.
