PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The SASI/NHPA (National High Performance Academy) program is now focused on the 10 – 15 year old age bracket where in the past; the focus has been on post-junior development. The Tennis Program is based at Tennis SA on War Memorial Drive.

The main objective of the SASI/NHPA partnership is to create a positive and professional environment that will encourage our young tennis players to committ to and embrace a lifestyle of professionalism. We want to encourage, nourish and fuel the desire to succeed within our young players as without desire, talent is meaningless.

Where the SASI/NHPA program is positioned on the Tennis Australia Pathway determines that our ultimate goal for the tennis players in this program is for them to be accepted into the AIS, the next conduit to the world of professional tennis.

Our ultimate personal goal for each athlete is that they are healthy, well-rounded, well-educated, respectful and responsible members of our community.

NATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE PROGRAM

The SASI Tennis Program is a partnership program funded and supported by the South Australian government through SASI in partnership with both National and State Sporting Organisation. A key partner in the program is Tennis Australia who contributes funding support to the program as part of its National High Performance Plan. The NTC endorsement of the program recognises the status of the program in the sports National High Performance Pathway and also the indirect funding contribution to the SASI program by the Australian Sports Commission through Tennis Australia.
