The SASI Men’s Football Team have been crowned Institute Champions in last weeks Institute Challenge which was held in Canberra. SASI finished equal top with Football West but had a better goal difference. SASI also finished top in the bonus points where they followed the FFA’s National Curriculum on playing the 1-4-3-3 system. The accolades didn’t stop there with Teeboy Kamara crowned joint top goal scorer with 7 goals. Ben Warland, Jake Halliday, Jacob Melling, John Karatzas, Joshua Barresi, Ben Garuccio and Teeboy Kamara were all selected in the All Star Team. Tony Vidmar was selected as the coach of the tournament and was coach of the All Star Team. The final match of the Tournament saw SASI draw 4-4 against the All Star Team in the exhibition match.
Congratulations also go to Jacob Melling and Ben Garuccio who were offered AIS scholarships for 2011. It is great news for both boys who have shown there quality throughout the year. More information is in the Highlights below. |

PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
The SASI Men's Soccer program is aimed at the talented 15 - 17 year old South Australian soccer players, identified through all Football Federation (FFSA) programs.
The Men's Soccer program delivers quality training and competition opportunities that aim to have players selected in the AIS program and national under age teams. It is also strongly linked to SA state team programs and the national soccer league team in Adelaide.
The squad competes in the Premier League competition (seniors and reserves) and plays in a number of National Training Centre (NTC) Institute challenges with other states.
