Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program

2008-09 Round: The 2008-09 round opens Saturday, 5 July 2008 and closes Monday, 18 August 2008.

Program Overview

The Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program provides funding for the development of new or existing sport or active recreation facilities.

Sport and active recreation clubs/associations, Local Government Authorities and school councils are eligible to apply for facility projects that meet a demonstrated community need.

Applicants can only apply for 1 grant under one of the categories listed below:

• Community Level Facility Funding;
• Regional Level Facility Funding; and
• Facility Feasibility Study Funding.

Note: If you intend on applying under the Regional Level Facility Funding or Facility Feasibility Study categories, please contact a Grants Consultant to discuss your project prior to applying.

Grants up to 50% of the total project cost and for school-based projects up to 30% of the total project cost are available.

Requests for funding of less than $20,000 and more then $300,000 will not be considered.

Grants are offered annually.
